* Berliner 1898

This is a Berliner record recorded on April 7, 1898. It is the Star Spangled Banner and is being played by Sousa's Band. Sousa was probably not conducting since he disliked the modern contraption that reproduced music rather than his chosen profession of making music. The record has age issues and is somewhat scratchy. I have created a video for YouTube of this century old record. I have created a YouTube video of 'My Old Kentucky Home" by the Hayden Quartet as well. It was also recorded in 1898.
